We connect alumni across all classes (1949 to 1990) of Christopher Columbus Catholic Central High School that was located in the North End of Boston and served students across the Greater Boston Area. The school was established and operated by the Franciscan Friars – the religious order of Saint Francis of Assisi. Giovanni di Pietro di Bernardone, known as Francis of Assisi, was an Italian mystic, poet and Catholic friar who founded the religious order of the Franciscans. He was inspired by the Gospel and life of Christ Jesus to lead a Christian life of poverty and as an itinerant preacher. Saint Francis of Assisi passed from this life on October 3, 1226. His earthly remains were buried on May 25, 1230 in the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi in Assisi, Italy.
